John Iffland, Board Chairman: John Iffland, who is a retired U.S. Air Force Brigadier General, joined TSG in February, 2005 as member of the Board of Directors. In April, 2009 General Iffland became the CEO and in May, 2011 became the Chairman of the board. His focus will remain on rapidly expanding into new markets with complimentary service and software offerings, growing the company’s current base of GIS, technical services and digital imaging software, while continuing to broaden the corporate structure and developing and recruiting Senior Executive and Professional staff.
Executive level experience includes Vice President, International, with Argon ST where he developed new businesses in physical security and related programs while also establishing a branch of the company in the Middle East. Prior, he was Chairman of the Board and COO of Coherent Systems International, responsible for establishing a new corporate structure and processes for the rapidly growing company while developing new businesses and service offerings. Corporate revenues were doubled in eighteen months prior to being acquired by Argon ST in 2007. In his final military assignment, General Iffland was the Homeland Security Advisor to the Director, Air National Guard. General Iffland possesses a BS from California State University and a MA from Central Michigan University.
Alan Stewart, Board Director: Mr. Stewart is the Chief Financial Officer of Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc., where, over the last five years, he has led the infrastructure development and financial affairs of Epsilon as it grew from approximately $40 Million in revenues to over $120M. Prior to his position at Epsilon, Mr. Stewart was CFO of High Technology Solutions (HTS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kratos Defense Systems, Inc. During his seven years at HTS, Mr. Stewart was instrumental in all aspects of the company’s strategic and financial initiatives. Mr. Stewart was responsible for the acquisition and integration of several technology firms and successfully completed several debt rounds and a $17 million dollar private equity financing from large institutional investors, including GE, Intel, Ford Motor Company and Hambrecht & Quist. Mr. Stewart ultimately led the successful sale of HTS to Wireless Facilities, Inc. in early 2004. Outside of the business world, he serves as an Elder and Treasurer of his home church, Community Bible Church, and as a Director of Eternity Minded Ministries, an international missionary organization. Mr. Stewart served over 10 years as a nuclear engineer serving in the United States submarine force. Mr. Stewart received his BS degree, with distinction, from the U.S. Naval Academy and his MBA from Harvard Business School.
Ralph Clark. Board Director: Mr. Clark is a seasoned executive who has served as CEO, or in another executive position, for eight different technology companies, most recently as the CEO of GuardianEdge, where he completed its successful sale to Symantec for $73 million dollars in June 2010. Well versed in corporate strategy, turnaround strategies, board governance and mergers and acquisitions, his involvement in these companies was critical to their success. As a former investment banker with Goldman, Sachs and Merrill Lynch, Mr. Clark is well-versed in all aspects of M&A as well as debt and equity funding. Mr. Clark completed undergraduate education at University of the Pacific and was awarded his MBA at Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
